Profession : Machine Learning Engineer

City : Bergen, Norway

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing algorithms and models that power our cutting-edge technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and design solutions that utilize machine learning techniques. Your expertise in data analytics and software engineering will be essential in creating efficient and accurate machine learning models. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving existing models, as well as exploring new techniques to enhance our products.

Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into machine learning solutions
Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models
Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights
Work on feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and model evaluation
Optimize existing models for improved performance
Explore new techniques and tools to stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Troubleshoot issues with data quality, model performance, or system integration

Requirements :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or machine learning roles

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R or Java

Strong understanding of statistical modeling concepts and algorithms (e.g. regression, clustering)

Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus

Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop or Spark is preferred

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
