Job description

Required qualifications and competences

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the capacity of Chief Engineer / Staff Chief Engineer or other relevant experience from the Cruise Industry
  • Valid class Chief Engineer license and certificates according to STCW 95 as amended
  • Good knowledge about maritime rules and regulations (SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC)
  • Good knowledge of the requirements under USPH and USCG
  • Great leadership skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluent command in English
  • Great interpersonal skills and good team leading ability
  • Good references

Beneficial experiences

  • Experience from expedition cruise and vessels operating in Artic waters
  • Experience from new built and / or site team or project work
  • Experience in sailing under NIS flag
  • Fluent command in a Scandinavian language
