The Project Commercial Manager (PCM) position is an important and recognised role in Ocean Installer with significant opportunity to influence our business, organisation and work environment.

The PCM will be overall responsible for enhancing company profit and maximizing opportunities under the project contract through understanding the commercial and operational objectives of the company, while at the same time protecting the company from risk and exposure.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all commercial and administrative processes on the project
• Act as company representative in liaison with clients or their representative
• Ensure effective working relations are established with the clients
• Manage contracts agreed with clients, subcontractors or partners at project level
• Tender and negotiate value adding subcontracts
• Resolve contractual and commercial problems, ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance understand and adhere to contractual obligations
• Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions, as well as documenting and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise during its implementation or execution (manage the VO process and negotiations towards client and subcontractors)
• Responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of the contract and have full understanding of the specified scope of work and contract terms; provide an advisory role on the selection of major subcontractors
• Ensure the Project Manager is provided with support and advice on all aspects of post award contract administration, budgeting, cost reporting (external / internal), VO handling, invoicing, planning and procurement
• Establish optimal project organization for Project Control and Administration support
