  • Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of electrical experience (e.g., electrical testing equipment, electrical distribution) in an industrial or commercial environment.
  • Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, and the required use of safety equipment such as work platforms, ladders, step stools, and personal protective equipment like safety harnesses in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and shifts.

Preferred qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience in maintenance of electrical distribution systems or related fields.
  • Experience in data centers, hospitals, or power plants.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems used in data centers (e.g., Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS / STS units, PDU / PMM units).
  • Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting with standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration / diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors performing maintenance or upgrades.

    The Data Center team designs and operates sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Facilities Technicians operate, monitor, and support physical facilities, including heating, cooling, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution, and control systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing data center systems such as piping and electrical or mechanical components.

    As an advocate for best practices, you will develop creative approaches to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency, ensure safety and environmental standards are met, and manage performance issues and outages to minimize recovery time.

    In this role, you will operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions for our data centers, contributing to a team committed to building and maintaining powerful data centers.

    Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems.
  • Assist technicians by reading blueprints and schematics, conducting system tours, and assessing system operation.
  • Manage uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control systems.
  • Respond to abnormal conditions and support the startup and commissioning of new electrical systems.
