Commissioning Engineer F&G Systems

Overview

Position Purpose : Participate in ensuring completions and commissioning requirements of all company projects are carried out safely, efficiently and meet all project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance. Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to the Project Completion Strategy. Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction to relevant disciplines ensuring that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve company expectations.
• Provision of commissioning support to project as required including ensuring sufficient manning according to project needs.
• When required act as the site Commissioning Authority during the commissioning phases.
• Contribute to the preparation of project forecasts, schedules, costs estimates associated with the commissioning scope for relevant Fire & Gas (F&G) deliverables.
• Contribute and advise related to Fire & Gas testing and verification input to overall Completion strategy and planning.
• Ensure compliance with company additional requirements and relevant performance standards.
• Manage relevant contractors and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for Fire & Gas System Commissioning.
• In cooperation with relevant disciplines and package teams, provide relevant knowledge and participation related to :
• Witness contractor / supplier tests as necessary (FAT / SAT).
• Follow up field installation ensuring correct quality and scheduled installation according to Commissioning schedule.
• Develop, review, and implement F&G commissioning procedures.
• Implement the commissioning scope on site and Offshore.
• Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
• At site(s) and Offshore, lead and coordinate the Commissioning test-team in connection with dynamic commissioning.
• Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews when necessary.
