Assignment Description

During Pre-Ops and start-up phase :

  • Quality assurance of activities related to developing maintenance programs for dedicated equipment and the implementation in SAP.
  • Improvement of tools and frameworks related to maintenance, including MTC updates.
  • Support maintenance and project teams with equipment-specific knowledge and expertise.
  • Role as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the workflow 'Manage Condition Alert' / condition monitoring.
  • Take necessary actions to achieve new ways of working for the Yggdrasil field, including involvement in performance-based cooperation.
  • Secure necessary spare parts according to Yggdrasil Operation strategy.
  • Prepare for taking over equipment from the project organization, ensuring quality and involvement during handover to operations.
  • Establish ownership and detailed knowledge of relevant equipment and plants, including yard visits and some travel.
  • Participate in authority verifications.
  • Prepare budgets following the budget management model for relevant equipment.
  • Follow up with relevant equipment vendors.

In Operation :

  • Technical responsible for the integrity of automation and instrument equipment throughout their lifecycle, including LCI.
  • Support first-line maintenance and project teams with equipment-specific knowledge.
  • Assist first-line maintenance planners with complex work order planning, such as large equipment overhauls, turnarounds, and minor modifications.
  • Role as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in 'Manage Condition Alert' / condition monitoring.
  • Develop and follow up on budget packs and costs for dedicated equipment according to the budget management model.
  • Optimize maintenance programs and equipment strategies for safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with Condition Based Maintenance engineers to predict and prevent unplanned failures.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding repairs.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and stock availability.
  • Participate in authority verifications.
  • Occasional plant visits onshore and offshore.
  • Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Instrumentation or Automation discipline; relevant experience can substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation / instrument engineering.
  • Knowledge of offshore requirements and asset operations onshore.
  • Experience with the Yggdrasil project is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of SAP PM modules is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment standards and regulations.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
