We are recruiting a PhD student for a project that combines MD simulations and NMR spectroscopy to investigate the conformational dynamics of oligosaccharides.

The project offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both NMR relaxation techniques and all-atom MD simulations. A key goal is to use NMR data to evaluate and refine MD force fields and, once validated, use simulations to interpret NMR observables. This dual approach equips the student with valuable skills for both academic and industrial careers.

The work will be carried out in the Computational Biology Unit ( and the Norwegian NMR platform ( of the University of Bergen.

The position is fully funded for 3 years, with the possibility of a 4th year including teaching duties. We offer a supportive and international research environment in a beautiful and welcoming city.
