The Mechanical Package Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, coordination, and procurement of mechanical packages associated with a Gas and Fume Treatment Center. This includes critical rotating and static equipment such as gas compressors, filtration units, separators, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and utility systems. The role is essential in ensuring that all equipment packages meet technical requirements, industry codes, and project schedules, from specification through delivery and site installation.

Mechanical Package Engineer

We are seeking an experienced mechanical package engineer for a 6-month temporary position. You will be responsible for the engineering, coordination, and procurement of mechanical packages for a Gas and Fume Treatment Center, including critical rotating and static equipment.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and implement requirements in contract documents, standards, and project documents
  • Prepare technical data, specifications, purchase requisitions, and as-built documentation
  • Evaluate supplier offers and provide technical support during negotiations
  • Follow up on vendor documentation and drawings
  • Support installation, completion, and commissioning on site

Qualifications :

  • University degree in Engineering (MSc, BSc or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering or construction coordination position of heavy industrial equipment, preferably from the oil and gas industry
  • Good knowledge of relevant mechanical equipment
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Good organizational and coordination skills
