Mechanical Engineer - Consultant Role for LNG, Biogas & Regasification Projects

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join as a consultant for Wärtsilä, a global leader in marine and energy solutions. This role focuses on exciting projects involving LNG, biogas, and regasification technologies in Norway.

Location : Asker, Norway

Other possible locations : Gdynia or Valencia

Contract Duration : 12 months with a high likelihood of renewal

Start Date : Immediate

Remote Work : Possible for senior candidates

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to projects for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, both onshore and offshore
• Develop system designs and prepare documentation
• Select equipment, evaluate bids, and collaborate with suppliers
• Ensure smooth information flow between engineering disciplines
• Clarify technical details with customers, suppliers, and authorities
• Join design reviews like HAZOP sessions and 3D model assessments
• Support commissioning, start-up, and FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests)
