Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

Location : Oslo, (Hybrid or Remote considered )

Contract Duration : Initial 3 months (with strong potential for extension)

Start Date : Immediate preferred

Job Overview :

Our client, a leading organization in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in rotating equipment to support a major EPC tender . This is a critical role requiring an experienced professional who can contribute immediately and effectively. The contract is initially for 3 months, but there is a high likelihood of long-term extension based on project demands.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and oversee mechanical engineering aspects related to rotating equipment for a major EPC tender.
  • Provide technical expertise in the design, specification, and procurement of pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipment .
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, specifications, and drawings.
  • Support cost estimation, risk assessments, and feasibility studies related to rotating equipment.
  • Interface with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements :

  • 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Extensive expertise in rotating equipment engineering, including design, selection, and analysis.
  • Previous experience with reputed EPC companies is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Experience in EPC tendering , including bid preparation and technical evaluations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
