Posizione

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to be employed in Norway reporting directly to the Innovation Manager – Smart Infrastructures.

The ideal candidate should be versatile and able to tackle a Data Science project with a 360-degree vision of the entire data lifecycle, from managing data ingestion and preparation processes to developing and validating the model and creating frontend applications.

Key Responsibilities of the role :

  • Modeling : developing new ad-hoc Machine Learning models to meet business requests and requirements
  • Advanced analysis platforms : developing complete ML pipelines from data acquisition to frontend applications
  • Data integration : understanding which data sources are important and how they should be treated to empower new data-driven tools and methodologies
  • Real-time data management capabilities, structured or unstructured, without historical series
  • Business-oriented meetings and events : heavily focusing on sharing project details with business users, building trust in the tool and methodology used to develop it
  • Ability to support decision makers in defining data analysis strategy
  • Collaborating with various business department heads (sales, production, logistics, HR, R&D, etc.), project managers, and ownership to identify KPIs and critical issues
  • Understanding if these critical issues can be resolved through statistical data analysis
  • Collecting and analyzing data from different sources
  • Structuring and aggregating data to make comparison and analysis possible
  • Verifying data quality, any duplication, identifying errors in collection and irrelevant data (i.e. data cleaning)
  • Reporting any errors in data collection and storage systems to the relevant departments
  • Interpreting data using statistical models that identify trends or frequent patterns in their structure
  • Presenting and sharing the results of data analysis with business heads, project managers, and ownership through reports, tables, diagrams, and graphs that immediately highlight statistical results (i.e. data visualization)
  • Create and apply data management procedures, including but not limited to : management of and between databases, creation and management of ways to access the above databases (via APIs, graphical interfaces, etc.), connection with external and third party data sources, etc
  • Implement secure and efficient data management and analysis systems in all technical aspects
  • Design data sharing procedures
  • Support the team in the use of systems while complying with applicable regulations and company standards
  • Ensure efficient and timely reporting
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of the data provided
  • Ensure the security of managed data in terms of illegal access and data loss

Requisiti

Requirements :

  • Master's degree in IT Engineering, Neuro Science, Computer Engineering or similar
  • Proficient in Python
  • Good knowledge of Data Warehouses
  • Good knowledge on how to design and organize a Data Model
  • Good knowledge of SQL, Pyspark, distributed computing
  • Good experience with Qliksense / PowerBI
  • Good experience with main Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with R Language - nice to have
  • At least 4 years of experience working on Advanced Analytics projects
  • Norwegian mother tongue and fluent in English are considered mandatory requirements
  • Italian knowledge - nice to have
  • Technical skills :

  • Python, Pyspark, SQL, Linux Command line
  • Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Science Virtual Machines
  • Distributed & Cloud technologies
  • Qliksense, PowerBI,
  • Machine Learning Models
  • BIM knowledge - Autodesk BIM 360 - nice to have
