Our award-winning hotel is renowned for its timeless charm, offering a unique experience to every guest.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you are a central part of the kitchen and you will assist the Executive chef. You will also always be a role model for your colleagues in the kitchen and in the restaurant. You will have major responsibility on your station. Experience from fine dining is a plus.

Restaurant Bandak is a gourmet establishment with high ambitions, where classic French cuisine is masterfully crafted using local products from Telemark and Norway. Our hotel breakfast is served with a combination of a small buffet and à la carte options. Guests can enjoy lunch and the picturesque afternoon tea in our elegant salons or on the terrace, which boasts stunning views of Lake Bandak. For dinner, we present meticulously curated set menus in the grand dining room.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, preparing and cooking dishes according to the menu.
  • Ensure each dish meets our standards for presentation, taste, and consistency.
  • Monitor stock levels for your section, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste.
  • Assist in the training of junior staff members and ensure they understand the standards and techniques required in your section.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Who You Are :

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • English proficiency is essential.
