Within Ship Electrification Solutions (SES) we are a world leading total supplier of electric and hybrid solutions for the marine industry. Our products range from Shaft Generators, Electric Propulsion Systems to Hybrid Solutions.

We are planning to strengthen our energetic, ambitious, and enthusiastic control systems teams with more Project Engineers.

As a Project Engineer you will develop and deliver control systems to a variety of highly innovative integrated electrical system, including battery hybrid, dual fuel engines, and full electric solutions to both the newbuild ships and retrofit upgrades.

This is permanent position for the SES team located in Stord, Norway.

Your main focus in this position will be :

  • Control and safety systems engineering.
  • Integration of electric propulsion systems
  • Programming of SCADA / PLC systems
  • Data networks and cyber security
  • Simulation, testing and documentation.
  • Teamwork in an international environment
  • Responsibility for own customer projects

To be successful in this role, you should have :

  • Preferably you hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of control systems or electrical systems
  • Good software programming skills
  • Knowledge of programming languages like C#, C / C++ is a benefit, but not required
  • Ability to work systematically with high quality in mind
  • Good language skills in both spoken and written English
  • Language skills in Norwegian is a benefit, but not required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
