As our new Lead Design Engineer you will mentor a team of engineers, guiding them through various offshore and subsea projects that present multidisciplinary challenges in a global industry. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring project success through your leadership and technical expertise. Like all good designers, you have a "split personality"; the creative and solution-oriented personality that appears at the beginning of any project, and the exact and systematic personality that emerges when the fabrication documents are prepared.

Key responsibilities :

• Lead the development of concepts for subsea structures and products.
• Oversee the mechanical design of subsea structures and products, tailored to specific projects.
• Serve as the technical point-of-contact for designated deliveries.
• Coordinate and lead both internal and external design reviews.
• Prepare and oversee the creation of fabrication documents, including detailed drawings.
• Compile and review technical documentation in English.
• Approve technical documents and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Guide and mentor engineers through project phases, providing technical and professional support.
• Participate in assembly and testing at external production facilities.
• Travel domestically and internationally, including offshore locations, as required.

Subsea Products work location is NOV offices at Fornebu, we are flexible to work from home some days of the week.
