As a Sub-Contract Specialist you will play a key role in procurement activities, ensuring effective management of subcontractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. We have the following positions available :

1. Senior / Lead Sub-Contract Specialis t – Offshore Renewables

Will be supporting our Renewables team with procurement activities related to preparing tenders and project executions.

2. Sub-Contract Specialist / Senior Sub-Contract Specialist – Tendering

Will be supporting our Commercial department with procurement activities related to preparing tenders to the clients, and preparing handover to project teams for execution.

3. Sub-Contract Specialist – Projects

Will be supporting our project teams with procurement activities.

Main Areas of Responsibility :

  • Conduct procurement activities in accordance with governing procedures and processes.
  • Develop and execute subcontract / procurement plans / strategies in both tender and project phases.
  • Lead pre and post contract award activities including RFQ processes, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract award, and review.
  • Ensure compliance with DeepOcean and client terms and conditions.
  • Initiate supplier pre-qualification processes and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
  • Liaise with project teams to conduct supplier performance assessments and address issues.
  • Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and procedures.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant Procurement or Contracting experience in a multi-project, engineering environment, preferably within the subsea industry.
  • Experience and knowledge from the Renewables and / or Oil & Gas industry, with insight into market trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Further education in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Strong legal and contractual awareness and experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in contract management and negotiation.

  • Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze complex contractual and procurement issues, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Dynamic Project Management : Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and navigate evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration : Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Ethical Standards : High ethical standards and integrity in managing supplier relationships and contractual obligations
