As a Platform Engineer in the team delivering DNB's data and AI platform, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving our platform-as-a-service with a strong focus on enabling data and AI capabilities across the bank. Our mission is to empower teams to unlock the full potential of data and AI – from experimentation to production – with speed, scale, and simplicity. We want our users to keep focus on innovation with data and AI. Our job as platform engineers is to build, provide and operate the best possible platform and infrastructure that makes this possible.

You will become part of a pragmatic and autonomous team, which delivers technical solutions to and supports Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and others, from all areas in the bank. The platform supports a wide range of data- and AI-driven use cases, and demand is growing rapidly.

Since 2018, DNB's data and AI platform has grown into a comprehensive ecosystem of custom and off-the-shelf services. This includes DNB’s enterprise data platform powered by Snowflake and dbt, various capabilities for AI and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), Web Applications hosting, Graph Database, IDEs, self-service APIs, and Documentation-as-code. To mention some. Everything is built by leveraging modern cloud technology and infrastructure-as-code, developed and operated with DevOps principles.

Our main focus now is to enable our platform with AI capabilities. This among other things includes having tools which support language interfaces to data, integrating data into AI value chains with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, providing AI-boosted developer tooling for builders on the platform, and building and providing capabilities such that the power of AI can be leveraged in solutions, value chains and products built on the platform.

We are looking for engineers who have experience with

• Tools and capabilities in the data and AI space, machine learning, Generative AI, MCP servers, and SQL-as-code
• Python or similar programming languages
• Amazon Web Services or similar cloud platforms
• Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) like Cloudformation, Terraform or similar
• Container technologies and container orchestration tools, like AWS Elastic Container Service, Kubernetes, or similar
• CI / CD and DevOps, and connected technologies like Gitlab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Travis CI or similar
• Bonus : Data Engineering / Data Science competency
