The Deutsche Bundesbank is playing a key role in shaping the future of European payments. In our "Digital Euro" central division, we are working on the development of digital central bank money (Central Bank Digital Currency, CBDC ) and thus contribute to enabling secure and efficient payments in the future. Distributed ledger technology plays an important role in this ( DLT ).

As a Senior DLT Developer, you will develop innovative DLT-based solutions for interoperable and secure digital central bank money.
This role goes beyond traditional development work - you will help shape the future of European payments.
You will be responsible for the planning, design and implementation of DLT solutions for both the retail and wholesale sectors.
You will conduct technological experiments, lead the integration into existing infrastructures and develop smart contracts that meet the highest technological and regulatory requirements
Your work not only influences technical development, but also contributes to international expert discussions.
You represent the Bundesbank as one of the leading institutions in the field of digital central bank money.

Special values : your qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent in computer science or a comparable field of study

Several years of experience and extensive knowledge in the development and deployment of DLT systems (preferably based on Hyperledger Fabric) as well as experience in smart contract programming

Several years of experience and extensive knowledge in software development with a strong focus on customer-oriented functional requirements and their implementation

Experience in API development and integration of DLT solutions in existing IT infrastructures

Good knowledge of cryptography, data protection technologies and security protocols

Experience in CI / CD, version control systems (e.g. Git) and the provision of cloud applications

Knowledge in the analysis and optimization of performance and scalability requirements for DLT networks

Strong analytical and conceptual skills

Negotiating skills and persuasiveness

Independent work organization and ability to work in a team in an agile environment

Very good English language skills and basic knowledge of German
