In order to satisfy our customers and the objectives of Sherwin Williams, the Blending Supervisor must coordinates, directs and monitors all activities of the blenders and colourists in order to obtain the required results. Should organise production, maintain the installations, and be a role model in terms of compliance with the various regulations, as well as in the development of the teams and in the impetus for progress.

  • To work in a multi-BU environment, supporting customers across all Divisions
  • To distribute activities between teams and individuals according to variations in activities / set daily objectives.
  • To monitor the performance and output of the team and re-assign production tasks and inputs to ensure that production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards are met.
  • To assist with the training and supervision of Facility Blending Operators and Facility Colour Blenders as directed.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems.
  • To ensure the follow-up of the work schedules, in accordance with the specifications, norms and standards
  • To carry out checks on operating procedures and products (checking compliance with standards - carrying out 'field trips').
  • To perform basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems, or arrange for equipment to be repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians.
  • To provide input regarding inventory levels in the warehouse / stockroom to support business and meet inventory turn goals.
  • To identify potential obsolete / damaged material and handle per established policy / procedures.
  • Determine where to use re-work, when applicable and adjust inventory.
  • To create good working conditions.
  • To follow Waste Minimization Plan, PSR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazardous Material Handling Procedures, and all other safety procedures as outlines.
  • To maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • To support business development / ensuring that safety, quality and lead time standards are met
  • To ensure that all orders are accurately prepared and maintain an up-to-date order history.
  • To manage the physical inventory in a timely and accurate manner, in conjunction with the Approvals Manager and the shipping team.
  • To follow designated loss prevention, security and safety practices according to policy and correct or report non-compliance of appropriate procedures / policies.
  • To be the link between the different departments; Sales, CRM, Logistics and other groups
