Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Yara's global sourcing strategy for the relevant product categories
  • Optimize the supply of raw materials to the production plants taking into consideration time, logistical and operational / technical constraints
  • Involved in the day-to-day execution of the deliveries
  • Negotiate the purchase of products for Yara plants and markets, both on long-term and spot basis
  • Initiate, draft and negotiate purchase contracts in collaboration with the team and with support of the legal department
  • Maintain and develop relations with external suppliers and internal customers / stake holders
  • Take responsibility for and issue reports on performance indicators, price benchmarks, etc.
  • Study market intelligence to optimize sourcing
  • Plan and execute the day to day operations; vessel nominations, volume / laycan changes, alternative supply, plant flexibility, modes of transport and delivery terms
  • Maintain and report monthly savings
  • Attend relevant conferences and meetings to maintain and build supplier relations
  • Qualify product and / or suppliers to be used in the plants and markets

Profile

  • MSc in a relevant subject or BSc with experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business and relationship management
  • Experience in and knowledge of global commodity markets
  • Experience in contracting, a commercial approach and solid negotiation skills
  • Commercial mindset, analytical, self-motivated, result-oriented and with ability to work under pressure
  • Strong team player with the ability to build relations with colleagues and key stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken), additional languages are an asset
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships
  • Cultural awareness
