As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Siemens Energy in Trondheim, you will be an integral part of our mission to ensure fulfilment of requirements to our suppliers. Supporting our multi-functional commodity and procurement team by conducting qualifications, audits & assessments and developing our global suppliers is integral part of your daily contribution to implement the supply strategy. You will be working and close networking with multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally. SQE is addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Coordinate nonconformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.Monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.Support recurring supplier qualification & development status meetings. Ensure qualifications are on track and potentials risks are identified.Supplier Qualification : Support a multi-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, etc.Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in quality, electrical or mechanical engineering, master’s degree is preferred.Professional experience in quality management, manufacturing, or purchasing. Oil & Gas, Maritime or related industry preferred.Familiarity with Supplier Quality Management (SQM), Quality Control and & Risk Management methodologies. Lead Auditor experience or certification preferred.Knowledge of root cause analysis tools : 8D, 5 Whys, IshikawaProficiency in MS Office tools and SAPStrong interpersonal and communication skills, team playerAbility to manage priorities effectively, rigorous and organizedWillingness to travel (up to 25%), including oversea if necessaryYour Responsibilities
Represent Siemens Energy in all quality-related matters with our suppliersSupport and follow up on the implementation of Siemens Energy Standards and Guidelines locallyEnsure that the required delivery quality is achieved and support the selection of suppliers with good performance expectations to minimize follow-up costs and effortTrack and analyse non-conformances and corrective / preventive actions, ensuring and continuously improving effective non-conformance management of supplier-caused issuesSupport the qualification and development of suppliers, ensuring and continuously improving the quality of suppliers and their deliveriesImplement and control prevention-oriented SQM-related methods and risk management in supplier-related processes and products (RCA, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)Be familiar with international / national standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001), technical documentation of materials in scope, quality assurance, and purchasing agreements, test, and inspectionParticipate in or perform external audits of suppliers (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, HSE, CoC) and quality reviewsCollaborate with suppliers to address and eliminate non-conformitiesCollect and analyse key figures and implement regular supplier evaluationsAct in cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, and Manufacturing within the location as part of the Supplier Quality & Development departmentWho is Siemens Energy?
