About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Spare Parts Manager to lead and transform our global spare parts business. With more than 2,000 installed systems worldwide and a growing customer base generating hundreds of enquiries every week, spare parts and aftermarket services are becoming an increasingly important growth driver for our business. Today, the function generates approximately €20 million in annual revenue, with significant potential for substantial growth over the coming years.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end spare parts operation—from customer enquiries and quotations to fulfilment and delivery. You will build scalable processes, develop a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and actively contribute to revenue growth through customer engagement and aftermarket sales opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to shape the future of a global aftermarket business.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a growing global spare parts organization.
  • Foster a customer-focused, commercially driven, and performance-oriented culture.
  • Build the capabilities, structure, and competencies required to support significant business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, Procurement, Engineering, and Logistics teams.

Customer Response & Order Management

  • Own the end-to-end handling of high-volume customer enquiries and RFQs.
  • Ensure fast, accurate, and professional quotation and order processing.
  • Develop standardized workflows, templates, and automation to improve response times and consistency.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through proactive communication and reliable lead-time management.
  • Ensure customer orders are tracked, followed up, and delivered according to expectations.

Commercial Growth & Sales Support

  • Promote a strong upselling and cross-selling mindset throughout the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for replacement, wear, upgrade, and complementary parts during the quotation process.
  • Provide sales teams with installed-base insights, customer history, and technical context to support business development.
  • Act as a key commercial link between customers, service operations, and sales.

Operations & Supply Chain Management

  • Ensure optimal inventory availability while maintaining cost-efficient stock levels.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Logistics, and suppliers to secure competitive lead times and reliable deliveries.
  • Develop supplier partnerships, framework agreements, and sourcing strategies that support growth and

customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement through KPIs and data-driven decision-making.

Process Improvement & Business Scaling

  • Design and implement scalable processes capable of supporting significant future growth.
  • Optimize ERP and CRM systems to improve quote-to-cash efficiency.
  • Drive digitalization, automation, and workflow improvements to reduce manual effort and increase productivity.
  • Establish a high-performing aftermarket platform that supports long-term profitability and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience from spare parts, aftermarket services, technical customer support, or high-volume order management environments.
  • Background from marine, offshore, energy, industrial equipment, or other technical industries is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience improving processes, driving operational efficiency, and implementing scalable ways of working.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to identify customer needs and revenue opportunities.
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems and using data to drive performance improvements.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to build and lead a growing team.

Personal Attributes

  • Structured, proactive, and highly organized.
  • Customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Analytical and improvement-oriented.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic development with hands-on operational involvement.
  • Strong communicator who can build relationships across functions and cultures.

What Success Looks Like

Within 12 Months

  • Customer response times and fulfilment performance consistently meet or exceed targets.
  • Upselling opportunities are systematically identified and converted into new business.
  • The spare parts organization operates with clear processes, accountability, and performance metrics.
  • Revenue and order intake show sustained growth.

Within 36 Months

  • A highly scalable and largely automated spare parts operation is in place.
  • Spare parts and aftermarket services have become a significant contributor to company growth and profitability.
  • The function is recognized as a trusted and strategic partner across the organization and by customers worldwide.
  • The organization is fully equipped to support a business several times its current size.

Why Join Us?
This is more than a traditional spare parts management role. You will have the opportunity to shape a critical business area, influence company growth, and build a world-class aftermarket organization serving customers around the globe. If you are motivated by leadership, operational excellence, customer value, and commercial growth, we would like to hear from you.
