The position

This role sits within, the Portfolio and Concept Development (PCD) unit of our Renewables business area, and PCD reports to the Project Management (PM) unit. PM is responsible for delivering a safe, competitive, and profitable project portfolio together with the regions. PCD is the home of the portfolio and integration team, as well for Technical Leads on Early phase projects : together we are responsible for delivering on Project Portfolio metrics analytics, Standardised Concepts Catalogues and Early Phase Projects Concept maturation from OW Pre-DGA to DGB or access stage.

By joining the PCD team within Renewables you will have the opportunity to :

Ensure efficient offshore wind concept screening and feasibility. Responsible for technical scope in the project.

  • Coordinate and lead the technical concept team and report to the project manager.
  • Secure the right technical maturity for the concept at given Decision Gates.
  • Prepare Decision Gate Support Package (including overall responsibility for technical formal documents such as Design basis and Facilities description), and ensuring quality (QC, etc.) on the technical deliveries within the maturation matrix for Offshore Wind CVP process.
  • Procure the services of external suppliers / service providers where necessary in collaboration with EPCD Procurement and the Regions.
  • Contribute to providing global concept development capabilities, methods, and tools.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of the digital early phase and project development program.
  • Potential to act as task leader for a team of technical professionals and discipline experts.

For this position, we are also looking for :

  • Knowledge of various offshore wind farm concepts and drivers, and understanding of the offshore wind business.
  • A high level understanding of all disciplines / packages that are associated with offshore wind projects.
  • Experience from offshore wind in business development and / or project development phases would be advantageous.
  • Experience as a package manager would be a plus.
  • Strong project experience in other areas of renewable energy could compensate for a lack of offshore wind experience.
  • English language skills at a professional working level, both verbal and written is required, additional languages would be beneficial.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong commercial mindset and business understanding.
  • Ability to energize and motivate others to deliver.
  • Flexibility to travel for meetings on an ad-hoc basis.
